Ah. I wasn't aware of the distinction. I always, perhaps wrongly, grouped the Christ Mythers into one pile of failure based on their conclusion.
There is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.

The other type of Christ myther is rare but prominent. One possible sign of such is that they may attack the FA type of Christ myther. Robert Price straddles the fence in that regard but is virtually a FA on other accounts. And of course someone can be a FA in one area and not in another.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

I like this one bit he said:
It's long past time for the separation of science and state.
Quick! Someone put a thread up for this on Civics.

Wait a sec... this should all be on the political screwballs thread!

"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"

"The government cannot love you, and any politics that works on a different assumption is destined for no good."
"Government money only pays for the "liberties" the government thinks you should have, and therefore it can determine how you exercise them. That turns liberties into privileges dispensed at the whim of the state."

Well, obviously science has determined that interpretive dance is the ontic referent to ground objective morality in an atheistic universe.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Didn't you see the episode of Family Guy where they have that school play where God explains his intentions via the medium of interpretive dance?

Speaking of that eminent scholar, he's now shilling his foolish views of slavery to newspapers:
      http://debunkingchristianity.blogspo...ever.html#more

there was a day when American Slavery was easily justifiable by texts like Leviticus 24:44-45.

Not a nomination but yet another narcissistic, feelgood comment from that one lady from my school who thinks God talks to her about weightloss, and is always posting me-centred lyrics from songs and me-centred quotes from books:
Focus on how much God LOVES YOU instead of how you think you "should be"; because you are never going to be how you "should be" - Brennan Manning
IOW, let's not focus on being remade in the Image of God/Christ, let's just sit as we are, forget about our progress towards that Image, and just feel loved.

I hope Manning realizes that a couple pills of ecstasy can accomplish the same task.
"Everybody wants to go to heaven. They just don't want God to be there when they get there." Paul Washer
