Screwball to all the people who keep derailing the screwball threads!
Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.
My blog . My book. My YouTube channel.

elsol98, another ranting atheist with poor punctuation. At least he spelled "God" with a capital 'G' though:
religions are the root of all evil, for they keep the masses in spiritual darkness.any God who rules by fear is an insecure tyrant.i rather look for spiritual guidance in the animal kingdom.

What, an atheist who believes in spirits? Hmmm. Curious. Will have to think about it.
Oh, feel welcome to explain that to me.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Re: September 2011 Screwballs
Well actually guys he has since stated he is not an atheist. I guess I shouldn't have assumed. He has since offered the following:
When I pointed out that he hasn't offered anything of substance in response to my video (a response the TheAmazingAtheist's video titled "Are Christians Stupid?") he said the following:what gave you the impresion that i was an atheis.. im not. everytime you assume something it makes you an ass. you prove my point exactly whe it comes to religious people who think their sooo rightious and full of knoledge. and if my gramar is the only thing bothering you then you have no problems whith my points of view. a wise men knows he knows nothing, only the foolish think to know it all.
Let's just ingnore the fact that the video was concerned with corrected TheAmazingAtheist's misrepresentations and sweeping generalizations of Christian beliefs, not theistic proofs.you are the one that needs to proof that your god is real since you are the one making the claim...you are like a sales man selling me a cell phone that makes breakfast and does my chores, im saying ill buy it when you proof your claims. it is evident that your intelect is below average standards.

CS Lewis, Mere ChristianityThere is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.
Check out the blog: Per theologyWeb's overlords, I am required to warn you of profanity in some of the comment threads on my blog.

This is the first time I've seen someone imply that the existence of the Christian God is too good to be true.you are the one that needs to proof that your god is real since you are the one making the claim...you are like a sales man selling me a cell phone that makes breakfast and does my chores, im saying ill buy it when you proof your claims. it is evident that your intelect is below average standards.
You better 'proof' your claims UC28.

Re: September 2011 Screwballs
Well, an Atheist (in the classical definition) is just someone who disbelieves in the existence of a god. I find that only recently have radical materialists taken over most of the show (even though many among them still believe in supernatural and mystical trappings such as Sam Harris and his love for New Age clap).
"Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." Only a small fraction of sinners repent and do good things but only a small fraction of good people are led by their religion to do bad things."
-Freeman Dyson, Theoretical Physicist
"One of my friends has reminded me that there is a story in the Old Testament where God spoke through a donkey. He says, 'God spoke to Balaam through his ass, and God has been speaking through asses ever since.' "

I recommend everyone check out John C Wright's latest entry:
A Question I Never Tire of Answering
The question?
Also, screwball to John Cheese for his latest cracked.com blog entry:This might make for a mildly interesting, if outlandish, science fiction story, but the source of your belief system? If you’re going to base your life philosophy on absurd myths, why not choose something a bit more interesting? Why not master the Dark Side of the Force or the Golden Path, becoming a Sith Lord or a God-Emperor and strive to rule a Galaxy? Why choose something as ridiculous and wretched as Christianity? I must admit I am rather perplexed…
5 Bizarre Outbursts By Celebrities You Thought Were Sane
Why? Because #4 is Bill Maher. And I've NEVER thought he was sane."One develops a cool and ironic sense of bitter humor, as well as a bloated ego, and this personality characteristic is the defining trait of atheists ancient and modern. If there is a meek and humble atheist or sorcerer brimming with the milk of human kindness, I have yet to meet him." -John C Wright
"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"
— Robert A. Heinlein
"America's political system used to be about the pursuit of happiness. Now More and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered."
"The government cannot love you, and any politics that works on a different assumption is destined for no good."
"Government money only pays for the "liberties" the government thinks you should have, and therefore it can determine how you exercise them. That turns liberties into privileges dispensed at the whim of the state."
— Jonah Goldberg

Anti-screwball to Google Images. I searched for "burning strawman" for images I could use in my posts around here, and an image of P.Z. Myers comes up.
