Re: The Political Screwballs Thread
Of course not, because you've already made up your mind. Nothing shy of God Himself coming down and smacking you saying, "I designed humans to utilize vaccines!" will change your mind. (and even then...)
Never mind that wherever vaccines are ceased, death and illness rates climb.
"One develops a cool and ironic sense of bitter humor, as well as a bloated ego, and this personality characteristic is the defining trait of atheists ancient and modern. If there is a meek and humble atheist or sorcerer brimming with the milk of human kindness, I have yet to meet him." -John C Wright
"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"
— Robert A. Heinlein
"America's political system used to be about the pursuit of happiness. Now More and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered."
"The government cannot love you, and any politics that works on a different assumption is destined for no good."
"Government money only pays for the "liberties" the government thinks you should have, and therefore it can determine how you exercise them. That turns liberties into privileges dispensed at the whim of the state."

Re: October 2011 Screwballs
I am anti-anarchy. The state is necessary to promote law and order. It should not be in the business of providing handouts.
To your satisfaction? No. Your ignorance is willfully impenetrable. Then you can prove to my satisfaction that there are times when say the USFG did more good than bad? Or you can determine when any given government is doing more good than bad?

I don't think so, statistics kept outside the government are against you. How about this?

Re: October 2011 Screwballs
After commenting on Greece's bankrupt situation, the prospect of 'the mother of all strikes,' and Greece Prime Minister George Papandreou's having to handle all sorts of stuff like that, Joel Bowman said, 'That's what politics is all about; promising more than you can deliver, breaking most or all of those promises and then dealing inadequately and inefficiently with the consequences.'
Part of the downside of having government. Where is the upside to balance out that, O Most Puissant and August One Bad Pig?

This just seen: http://dailybail.com/home/holy-bailo...illion-of.html
Looks pretty bad, but One Bad Pig sees no evil.
I can let One Bad Pig have Greek government 2-year bonds at a most munificent 40% off par
[Munificent for most bonds anyway.]

Re: October 2011 Screwballs
If One Bad Pig was to attempt to explain why the free-market economy could not provide police and justice services (e.g., breeding and training watch dogs) as well as, if not better than, most any government can--he might produce an argument as bad as what I've just seen: 'If Ron is elected, remember that we will become a Third World nation in a matter of days.' Like we are not becoming third-World if we don't elect Ron, anyway.

Re: The Political Screwballs Thread
In two earlier posts I conceded that evidence cited by Rogue06 was against my thesis that the Oswald rifle allegedly used in the JFK murder could not have permitted the wondrous feats of marksmanship that the Warren Commission report and other publications ascribed to LH Oswald. May I now take that back? 2011 10 15
I have started a thread 'JFK murder verdict reexamination.' http://www.theologyweb.com/campus/sh...04#post3309704 There Rogue06 and Lil Pixie will be exposed as agents of the USFG [kidding!]

Re: The Political Screwballs Thread
What would convince One Bad Pig that it's as Hayek said, that the worst rise to the top [of our governments]? Could it be that the video of our Witch--sorry, Hillary Clinton--making out like a crazy sports fan after getting news of Qaddafi's death and seeing video of his alleged corpse--have made not a whit of difference?

Are you a doctor of medicine? I believe the owner of this website is one.

She says highly vaccinated children are chronically sick. Phooey on Lil Pixie and Challenger Grim. Of course he's grim, he's wrong so often.

Re: The Political Screwballs Thread
Why do I need to be a doctor to notice correlations between a disease vaccinated for and its occurrence?
The data's out there (I've already linked it a few times) but as cracked.com recently pointed out (in 5 Logical Fallacies That Make You Wrong More Than You Think) facts generally don't matter to people.Last edited by Challenger Grim; November 2nd 2011 at 01:02 PM.
