Government job policy
Like most presidents, Obama wants to promote new government spending programs to increase the amount of new jobs in the private sector. These type of actions are so wrong-headed. It is really quite simple to achieve this goal.Asked what his speech could touch upon, Obama cited a number of measures that he has talked about in recent weeks, including infrastructure spending to upgrade the country's roads, bridges and schools, as well as extending a payroll tax cut and jobless aid.
"All these ideas are ones that have been presented to Congress. We'll be putting out several other additional ideas. We've got to do it, unfortunately, at a time when money is tight.
Think of the economy as being divided into two large sections, business and government. Business gets revenue by selling goods and services. Government gets revenue by taking it from individuals and businesses.
The greater resources that government has, the fewer resources that business has. Why does anyone think that providing more resources to the government section, will cause the business section to grow?
The best action that government can take is to reduce itself, thereby increasing the amount of resources to business.Micah 6:6. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High G-d? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? 7. Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8. He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your G-d.

I like the analogy of carrying water in a bucket from one end of a swimming pool and dumping it in the other end.
There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to dis-believe in their existance. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight. -- C.S. Lewis

I wonder if Obama will talk about "investing" in Green Jobs again -- he has quite a bit of egg on his face for his latest half million dollar wager he lost on "Green Jobs", but you probably won't hear much about that in the MSM.
