No. Biologos did not renew his contract because they wanted to go in a more evangelical-type direction. As a TE who has been wanting Biologos to shed some of their theological-liberal weight, I applaud the move, though I honestly think it would be best if Denis Lamoureux and other TE Christians perhaps start their own organization; I bet he could get Doug Jacoby on board.

Re: An Open Challenge to Norman Geisler
I can see why people would want to distance themselves from Enns. I watched a video of him discussing Adam, Eve, and Genesis, and whilst he made a lot of good points, he also made a ton of really horrendous wishy-washy liberal arguments too, which was annoying.

You'd think he would know his Enns and Outs by now.

"I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011
Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Re: An Open Challenge to Norman Geisler
Well, to play Geisler’s advocate for a second, I think I know where he might be coming from when it comes to things like this.
Licona is on the inside of Evangelicalism whereas Enns is out (H/T Manwe for this awful punn). Granting Geisler his huge whopper of a premise that Licona’s view of Scripture his highly corrosive to our view of the authority of Scripture, Licona (given that premise, mind you) is likely more of a threat to Evangelicalism than Enns is. We can see that Enn's view is clearly at odds with a high view of the authority of Scripture and are not likely to be taken in by it; not so (given Geisler’s premise) with Licona.
Now, of course, I think the premise I granted for the sake of argument above is way off base to begin with. But still, I can see why his reasoning from that premise could easily take him to the position that Licona is more of a threat to Evangelicalism than are many outsiders.Last edited by Kenny; June 8th 2012 at 05:44 AM.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Re: An Open Challenge to Norman Geisler
Someone's MLOCD is kicking in again.
http://normangeisler.net/articles/Li...Roundtable.htm
Let's look at some highlights.
Pot calling the kettle black anyone?Indeed, Copan and Blomberg need to apologize for impugning the motives and character of scholars who are critical of Licona’s aberrant views. Name calling like “bullying” adds nothing to civil dialogue but only brings discredit on those who use such charges.
Can someone please make sure Geisler gets the message again for the umpteenth time?Licona made a big issue about the alleged inappropriate use of the internet to critique his views. However, ironically, Licona and his supporters have engaged in an abusive use of the internet to attack their critics. The most outlandish example is Licona’s approval of a cartoon caricature ridiculing a critic of his view which was produced by Licona’s son-in-law and his friend!
I DID NOT PRODUCE THE VIDEO!
What researching methods does Geisler use that he does not get that?
