I'm surprised at that. Don't some office buildings skip the number 13 for the floor number? I would think a church would request a different address number.

IMO the number 666, even in Revelation, wasn't chosen because it was intrinsically bad, but because that's how the letters happened to add up. It only acquired its bad reputation fairly recently, as far as I'm aware, as part of Darby's pre-trib pre-mill teachings which became popularized in America early last century.
