Ok, here's mine. Just because it brings up so many good child hood memories. The first real anime on American screens if I remember correctly. I must have been 10 or younger when it first aired in the US.

"Yes, I'm quite concerned about health care issues surrounding leaked radiation from Japan. Now, please pass me my super sized, bacon double cheeseburger, combo meal..."

Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

Here's some music that I enjoyed from the anime series Ao no Exorcist (The Blue Exorcist)

Here's a calm and peaceful composition that I particularly enjoy:

This one is probably one of my favorites from the series:

This next one is definitely worth listening too:

The next one is pretty enjoyable too, if you can put up with the clicking noises (Some people might even think it adds to the piece)

      Re: Your favorite anime themes/music

Here's an amazing song I found while wasting time on Youtube. I haven't watched the anime, apparently it's supposed to be some sort of specially gruesome horror anime. Kind of hard to imagine how a piece like this fits into a horror anime.

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - You (Vocal)

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - You (Instrumental)

Supposedly this is the english translation of the song lyrics:

Anata wa ima doko de nani wo EDITMEEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEe imasu ka?
Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?

Where are you now, what are you doing?
Are you in this endless sky?

Ima made watashi no kokoro wo umete ita mono
      Ushinatte hajimete kizuita
Konna ni mo watashi wo sasaete kurete ita koto
Konna ni mo egao wo kureteita koto

I realized for the first time
I've lost the things that have filled my heart till now
      How much you supported me
How much you made me smile

Ushinatte shimatta daishou wa totetsumonaku ooki sugite
Torimodosou to hisshi ni te wo nobaEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEe mogaku keredo
Maru de kaze no you ni surinukete todokisou de todokanai

That I'd lost them was too much to consider
Even though I struggled so desperately to reach out my hand and take them back
Like the wind they slipped through, looking as though they would reach me, but did not

Kodoku to zetsubou ni mune wo shimetsukerare
Kokoro ga kowaresou ni naru keredo
Omoide ni nokoru anata no egao ga
      Watashi wo itsumo hagemaEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEe kureru

My chest was tightened by loneliness and despair
My heart felt like it would break
But your smiling face remained in my memories
      Always encouraging me

Mou ichido ano koro ni modorou
      Kondo wa kitto daijoubu
      Itsumo soba de waratteiyou
      Anata no sugu soba de...

Let's return to those days once more
I know it will be alright this time
      Always smiling at your side
      Close by your side

Anata wa ima doko de nani wo EDITMEEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEe imasu ka,
Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?
Itsumo no you ni egao de ite kuremasu ka?
Ima wa tada sore wo negai tsuzukeru.

Where are you now, what are you doing?
Are you in this endless sky?
Will you smile for me like always?
Right now, it's all I continue to ask for

Anata wa ima doko de nani wo EDITMEEDITMEEDITMEEDITMEe imasu ka,
Kono sora no tsuzuku basho ni imasu ka?

Where are you now, what are you doing?
Are you in this endless sky?

Here's another one from the same composer. It's from the same series of animes/doujins. This one is absolutely worth listening too.

      Re: Your favorite anime themes/music

The above mentioned above mentioned anime/doujin seems to be a gold mine when it comes to music:

Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Ride on

Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Hope

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni - Air Pizz

Higurashi Kai VN BGM - Sora no Mukou (It's essentially a slower and more serious version of Air Pizz. Or maybe it's the other way around?)

Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Towering Cloud in Summer

      Re: Your favorite anime themes/music

Well, since I just noticed that the category has expanded to Video game music...

I got my hands on King of Fighters XIII recently (which comes with a 4-disc soundtrack containing music from all the games since KOF '94), and I must say that the Final Boss Music (SPOILER ALERT!) is EPIC. The rest of the soundtrack is pretty solid, but I really like the final boss music.

      Diablosis (KOF XIII)

ETA: Also, Hard Corps: Uprising has an overall awesome soundtrack.

Here's some more music from Fairy Tail. Seriously, it's like a gold mine of awesome music. (If you guys haven't noticed, I tend to like Celtic and Irish style music, and Fairy Tail has lots of it. )
