As a side note, Occupy London fail:
      LVT1I.jpg
      Crab Battle
      noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.

Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.

I get the irony, but at the same time the message is not "anti-corporate" alone it's "anti corporate greed" right? It seems as if there's a nuance there.

I don't think they KNOW what the message is.

Yes, that's been the standard more conservative take on it, but the message has, in reality been pretty clear if the method of getting it out unorganized. As I understand it: Anti corporate greed and pro economic justice. This means, no more bail outs and (as they rightly or wrongly understand it) a more equitable tax system and an economic landscape that doesn't see such a disparity between the top 1% and everyone else.

However, it's easy to say all that and much harder for them to put forth any meaningful resolution to the issues with which they have complaint. As always, it's easier to take shots at what you don't like than it is to do something proactive.

you don't think Apple has any corporate greed?

They are one of the most controlling companies out there, using every trick in the book to keep their profits as high as possible.

Exactly. And, as one pundit put it, many of them voted for Obama with the "hope and change" theme, and they haven't seen that. Their "team" is not doing any better than the "team" they replaced. That could be quite frustrating. Still, I think a lot of "losers" are glomming on to this protest because they are angry, and they don't know "at whom".

Finally, one common theme seems to emerge in all these "occupy" demonstrations -- a class of people seems to think they are "entitled" to things that the rest of us understand we have to EARN, not simply demand.

I might be more willing to believe they're upset about corporate greed if the protesters hadn't marched by the homes of those involved in getting corporate bail outs to picket in front of Rupert Murdoch's apartment building (who didn't get a dime of bail-out money). They claimed this was a protest against the expiration of New York's so-called millionaire tax but why Murdoch rather than those millionaires and billionaires who took bail outs. And to add to the confusion while they stood in front of Murdoch's residence they chanted, among other things, “Where’s our bailout?”

Even with the "we're only against the corrupt and greedy corporations" caveat, the point still applies in many cases.

A lot of these people use sites like Facebook (which has it's origins in a stolen idea and a long of history of "screw our users and their 'privacy', we only care about advertising profits"), purchase smart phones manufactured by such "small" and "noble" corporations like "Sony," and own vehicles from large (but certainly not corrupt in anyway) automakers like "GM." And all these celebrities/musicians lending their support? They all work for corrupt and greedy Hollywood studio's or the RIAA.
