Re: occupy wall street starting to piss off residents
I heard a commentator state that unlike the Tea Party, the OWS doesn't have a coherent message since it is still in its infancy as a movement. I don't remember the early history of the Tea Party. Did they have a coherent message at its' start or did it take a few months to coalesce?
Deut 10:12 And now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your G-d, demand of you? Only to fear the Lord, your G-d, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, and to worship the Lord, your G-d, with all your heart and with all your soul, 13. to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes, which I command you this day, for your good.
Micah 6:6. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High G-d? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? 7. Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8. He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your G-d.

Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.

Yeah, vague statements like "end capitalism" aren't clear messages. Why? How? What are their solutions and policies?

Re: occupy wall street starting to piss off residents
What I was arguing against was the idea that just because someone "controls" (i.e., owns) wealth (or "too much" wealth) that they are somehow bad or "greedy" or uncharitable or inordinately love material pleasures or some such thing. That does not follow.
I did not say that my scenario describes the cause of the current situation. I said that the current state of affairs (of unemployment and huge inequality) is largely due to government intervention, particularly in banking.
In addition to lower taxes (as I recall, the first Tea Parties were tax-day protests), one prominent message was "stop the bailouts."
They also seemed to spring up out of and shortly following the first End the Fed protests.

We're not talking about a "silver bullet/one source" kind of thing here. Being smart HELPS. Otherwise, even if someone was making an income of several million dollars a year, they wouldn't be in the top 1% for long if they lived beyond their means.
You read his blog too?
Nah, both of them were on their own.
You should totally say "[Name] is turning 50 today. And since I know he'd ask if this was written down somewhere... {pull out something with the statement that [name] is turning 50}""One develops a cool and ironic sense of bitter humor, as well as a bloated ego, and this personality characteristic is the defining trait of atheists ancient and modern. "Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"

... but apparently the OWS crowd is full of folks with little or no regard for private property.

That doesn't even work as an exaggeration of the reason why Occupy Wall Street is happening.
