Re: Poetry by Twebers
I wrote this earlier today, and when I recited it to my wife, she was grinning from ear to ear from the first line.
Walking
Taking my little baby for a walk.
Enjoying the shadows that play across his sweet little face
As we move in and out of the trees.
A gentle breeze rustling the leaves, distant birdsong,
The calm gentle clatter of pram wheels along the cobbled path.
Watching the curious look in his innocent eyes
As he takes in the scenery passing by.
Is there any moment more peaceful, more wonderful,
A greater advert for life?
The only way to make this memory any better
Is to share it with you.
This is a recent pic of him:

Lovely, poem, and what a cutie!
Securely anchored to the Rock against every storm of trial, testing and tribulation.

He's even sweeter in person, that pic doesn't really do him justice.

Re: Poetry by Twebers
No New Year's Resolutions
No New Year's resolutions,
No fashionable fears;
No trendy ways to see the world
Or stop imagined tears.
I'll stand upon the bedrock
Of truth that conquered all;
Defying time's great ravages
And even death's grey pall.
Let it transform me day by day,
Each morn my mind renew;
Guide me back to the right path
Should I begin to skew.
It points me to a higher goal,
A vision here to share
With all those now bereft of hope
And needing clear fresh air.Last edited by Ben Zwycky; December 31st 2012 at 01:45 PM.
