Advertising!?

Soon, we'll be slightly updating the advertising for Tweb.

Project Wonderful ads will still be displayed in threads - but only on an even page number. (As in, page 2, 4, 6, etc.) The other pages will be Amazon affiliate links. See here for further details.

You may see that Tweb will - in a few minutes - have advertising. This is a good thing because it means we're more likely to be able to pay massive server bills. Have a quick Q&A:
What advertising service are you using?
We are using Project Wonderful - one of the non-evil advertising companies. We have full control over which adverts are allowed on our site and so on.

Are the ads going to be intrusive or horrible?
The ads are pre-vetted before going onto the website and are limited to the little box at the top of the page. The ads won't carry offensive or anti-Christian content.

I want to advertise on Tweb!
You're more than welcome to. Go and create an account on Project Wonderful (link above) and follow the easy instructions to create an advertising account and then advertise on Tweb! We appreciate your business if you have a product or book and so on that you would like to sell here. The advertising works via the infinite auction. system. It's really not-evil, try it.

Where's the money going?
The money is going to maintaining Theologyweb. The bills are kind of expensive and we'd like to keep it open.

I think people who contribute to tweb already financially shouldn't have to see any ads.

That's the plan. CP's currently helping me test it which is why you can see it (I can't set for people, only usergroups :P)

Where would you want them? Noone would buy bottom-of-the-page adspace and there's no real space...
