There might be some comparison issues here.
If the US became more like Denmark, why would it subsequently become less like Denmark?Jorge: Functional Complex Information is INFORMATION that is complex and functional.

Personally, I'm very much pro-gun control - which is why I don't like poor arguments - they do more harm than good.
Denmark has little in common with the US so while the numbers are interesting, extrapolations from them aren't a great plan."He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

Not sure I'm following you. My point is that the two have so little in common that extrapolations from the data are suspect. Is the lower rate because they have tighter gun control or because they have a different cultural mindset (evidenced by a level of gun control neither obtainable nor desirable in the US)? I see no good way to determine which the case happens to be - assuming it's even one of the two.
Other countries do it is not a very compelling argument for why the US should do it. Since I favor Federal guidelines, I don't favor arguments I know play not only poorly but have substantial methodological issues."He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

Taking guns away from ordinary citizens would not change any of those numbers except perhaps accidental shootings. disarming the citizens only makes it easier for the criminals to have power, or the government.
And when you say "disarming the citizens only makes it easier for the criminals to have power, or the government." I'm not sure what kind of point you're trying to make about the entire rest of the gun-controlled Western world. Are you trying to suggest Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Denmark are dictatorships? Or that we are run by criminals??? Your comments seem divorced from reality. And in a democratic society why is it bad for it to be "easier" for "the government" "to have power"? And do you seriously think any guns you own would stop the American government bashing down your door and locking you in a tiny cell in Guantanamo if they decided they wanted to?"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump

Meanwhile the British government got away with arresting fathers trying to retreive their daughters from muslim pimps with absolutely no consequences. You are cattle at the mercy of crazy liberals who hate you and want to destroy you."As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.
