Watch the full thing instead. I haven't seen either but I'm told it's taken out of context.
"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

Folks applauded the Dean Scream IIRC and complained how it was taken out of context as well. These moments can do a lot of damage to a campaign

Google "Rick Perry: Best Little Whore in Texas" ... and you'll find a bit of drunken staggering at a political fundraiser fairly innocuous.

I'm more concerned about some of the stuff he says while sober.

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

So, in last night's debate, Perry very confidently bragged he would shut down THREE DEPARTMENTS when he got to be President, but he could only name two. It was very embarrassing, as Ron Paul tried to help him, but Perry self destructed.
This may have been a fatal error for his campaign.

Liberals must want Perry real bad. They did an image rehab thing on the Today show this morning.

My impression of him is that he's another GW Bush. Something to be avoided at all costs.
