Re: Skyrim
Luckily, I'm injured and can't play video games. The good kind where you need two hands anyway.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Get the inferface mod that re-assigns a few of the buttons. Having to constantly hit tab was so frustrating

Re: Skyrim
I've been doing pretty much solid mage. Focused on Destruction/Conjuration with some Alteration/Restoration mixed in. Of course I sneak a lot too and I use one handers some because I like my summoned weapons.
I gave up on smithing and just do some enchanting/alchemy atm.
Darth, how in the world do you grind smithing to 100 without adventuring? Doesn't that push your level up where the mobs whup you without any melee skills? There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to dis-believe in their existance. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight. -- C.S. Lewis

Re: Skyrim
My first playthrough is my standard Argonian heavy armor/melee focus. Got her to level 18, then my brother saved over my game and I lost 6 hours, 6 levels, half the Dark Brotherhood questline, the entire Companion questline, two followers, and a really hilarious end to the Forsworn Conspiracy quest in Markarth.
I was a little peeved.

Re: Skyrim
"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

Re: Skyrim
I feel a little better. But the thing I'm most disappointed about is the Forsworn Conspiracy ending, because all the other things I can get back. It's going to be hard to replicate that ending again.

Skyrim was autopatched today, and now my game won't even load. I swear, Bethesda, if you made me lose all my progress, I will kill you dead. For serious.
