As you have noticed (and we agree), this website is pretty awesome. Why you would choose to not be a member or logged in is baffling to both of us. The process is simple and costs you nothing, unless you really feel the urge to pay then we will not deny you that request. Back on point, once you become a member you will wonder why you put up with this notice all this time and ask yourself, "What was I thinking?" Being a tWebber is too awesome to pass up.
So stop playing ninja trying to act all stealth and lurking about (we see you), do you really want to be seen as a "lurker". Its like you are peeking in people's windows while they undress. How naughty of you. Does your mom know what you are doing right now? She agrees you should just register or login already. Good job.

- he thinks Sethian Gnostics were followers of John the Baptist who became followers of Jesus
- he thinks Irenaeus was Bishop of Rome
- he thinks the U.S. Constitution is a Gnostic document.
I'm not sure whether to be offended or amused by the article's use of an Orthodox icon of Christ to parody Obama.

anti-screwball to one atheist for calling all the others adherents to a religion of intellectual snobbery.
There is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.

No he doesn't. Where do people get this stupid idea from? Satan is sent to Hell himself and is punished by God along with the unrepentant humans who go there.

That is one of the longest and densest pieces of fabricated FAIL that I've ever seen in a comments section.
"I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
"So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you were also meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."

Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.

EDIT: Per atheists, now the Israeli antiquities authority is involved in a conspiracy with Christianity to forge discoveries about Nazareth to boost tourism.
Some days I think someone like John C Wright converted just because they couldn't stand the company any more.
(Hopefully Aug won't be jumping on that conspiracy bandwagon.)
No, I do not jump on any conspiracy wagon that happens to pass by. I want to see some evidence first. This is the first time I knew about atheists' thinking that the Israeli authority is conspiring with Christians. Is there any evidence of that? Maybe a smoking gun will be unearthed, but I'd shake my head.

Screwball to my university, as their online module assessment feedback sheets won't open on my Macbook Pro. I suddenly had the thought of trying to open them on my PC, and lo and behold they open just fine.
In other news, I got 68 for my essay on Rousseau, and 64 for my essay on the US constitution. Prayer fulfilment right there.:)

A conspiracy theory well supported by evidence is an oxymoron.

In this thread I usually do a lot of scrolling without posting. (Well, lately. Today was exceptional. Challenger Grim could have left me off, but he unfortunately is a total conspiracy disbeliever.) So, I'm wondering if that was to poke fun at me?

As you have seen I did not deal with our anonymous friends response for two reasons. First, and this is the main reason, to even imply that Jesus Christ would be “object to” Matthew’s understanding of an OT scripture is absolutely absurd. It is the most sophomoric statement I have seen in some time.
Translation: I had no idea what to say because I am an unequipped leader and I was waiting for someone to come along and save my butt due to my incompetence and I have no idea what your answer was but I'll agree to it anyway.
Therefore I decided to just let it stand and wait to see if anyone would affirm him. No one has, thus far, so one can see that those who agree with Dr. Licona’s position are distancing themselves from his position on this.
Translation: People have decided I am far too stubborn and rock-headed to actually bother in intellectual debate, but I refuse to say that. Instead, Rey, though really an Ehrmanite, is no doubt someone who sides with Licona's position and thus, since no one else answered, the Licona side is wanting to keep its distance. Obviously, it couldn't be because people think that since I'm the pastor of my church, I'm expected to give an answer.
Second, He uses the name “Rey” but his email is a different name with a different use. He did not sign in with an active link and his email is a “yahoo” account. It leads me to suspect “Rey” is someone that wants to be anonymous. I will not be drawn into a debate with anonymous comments.
Blessings,
Tim
Translation: I'm looking for any excuse to deal with someone who challenges my authority in any area and while I will not respond to them, I will happily cheer on everyone else who does, aside from those followers of Mike Licona who agree with me and including family members of his who could tear this guy a new one easily but I refuse to allow to comment on my blog because they burst my ego.
