      Οἱ δοῦλοι, ὑπακούετε κατὰ πάντα τοῖς κατὰ σάρκα κυρίοις, μὴ ἐν ὀφθαλμοδουλίᾳ ὡς ἀνθρωπάρεσκοι, ἀλλ᾿ ἐν ἁπλότητι καρδίας φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον.

      Transliteration:
      Ohi douloi, hypakouete kata panta tois kata sarka kyriois, mē en ophthalmodoulia̧ hōs anthrōpareskoi, all’ en haplotēti kardias phoboumenoi ton kyrion.

      Translation (ESV)
      Slaves, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

      Analysis (Zerwick):
      κατὰ σάρκα : earthly.
      κύριος : master.
      ὀφθαλμοδουλία : "eye-service", i.e. service under the eye of the master.
      ἀνθρωπάρεσκος : one currying favor.
      ἁπλότης : single-mindedness.

      For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.
