      Rob Bell's Books

Having read them all I've decided that I don't like his writing. Just saying.

Cool. I recently listened to Sex God on audio and I loved it. I look forward to getting his other books soon. Perhaps as a Christmas gift to myself.

Good to see you around and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.

Any particular reason, or was he just dissing your fridge magnet collection?

I comprehend his approach. In his oratory skills, his awkward pauses can get unnerving at times. (Along with his hipster look).

Still, some of his videos are well done, sound in doctrine (with the exception of perhaps one or two of em, it's his books that are far more concerning) and good production values.

He made some good points and painted some nice pictures in my mind, it wasn't all bad. His barrage of questions - most of which go un-addressed irk me. I did enjoy his treatment of heaven in Love Wins even though I thought the book overall was a fail.
