Re: Legalist Nutcase Wants to Play!
Well if you go by the riposte/challenge style things, FM was the one who displayed anger (or atleast extreme irritation) first, which means point to Sarah. (it does nto mean she is correct or that OBP or I agree even slightly with her, but nevertheless she scored the point)

Re: Legalist Nutcase Wants to Play!
Perhaps because English isn't your first language? (I'm being serious there)
Generally you don't tell someone to "Piss off" unless they've really gotten under your skin and you are angry/extremely irritated with them.
Maybe fm93 wasn't, in which case he really shouldn't have expressed himself that way."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

Re: Legalist Nutcase Wants to Play!
Well, it could be because English isn't my first language, but I seriously doubt it. I think it has more to do with the fact that I myself can usually say/write things that most people would interpret as being angry/extremely irritated, while I'm actually perfectly calm and collected while I'm writing it. So I myself would see no problem with telling someone to "Piss off" (I'd hesitate about using the equivalent swedish phrase however, translated to english it means "go to hell", something I don't I wouldn't wish on anyone) even if I wasn't "extremely irritated" at them. I suspect it's mainly because I'm not a very emotional person. But then again, fm93 isn't me, so it's probably wasn't a good idea to interpret his post based on how I think.

Re: Legalist Nutcase Wants to Play!
You probably thought my earlier post was a display of extreme irritation.
Noooope! Chuck Testa.
Yes, Chrawnus is correct. Although I did and still do find her annoying, I wasn't emotionally riled when I wrote that. If I'm actually flustered when writing, my sentences tend to become more verbose. Also, my tone tends to change noticeably. On the other hand, if my sentences are short and curt (as in that earlier post), that usually means I'm calm.
And, as Scrawly said, there's really no point in discussing this any further. So let's not.Life is just a phase you're going through. You'll get over it.--Anonymous

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Re: Legalist Nutcase Wants to Play!
My last comment on the topic: then you shouldn't use phrase that would indicate to others that you are extremely irritated or angry. Given that this is a text only environment, we cannot hear your tone, we can only read your words, and that was not something I (and others here so it's not just cause I'm sefrican expat who can become a kiwi in a coupla years) would associate with someone who is being calm.
I.e. don't throw points away when you could, with a little more planning, have scored one or more. Especially as Sarah does provide so many golden opportunities to score points off of."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"
