Which is more important in Apocalypse?
Which is more important in Apocalypse?
Which is more important: That Nero died and there was a rumor that he'd come back from the dead, that, presumably, at the end of the world, the antichrist will seem to die and then come back to life, or that many times in salvation history, God redeems a stage of darkness, the fallen nature, but the fallen nature comes back to life again in a subsequent stage?
What am i talking about? See Apocalypse 13: and I saw that one of the heads of the beast was mortally wound, and the wound was healed, and the whole world looked on in amazement
which is more important: that china may have an army of 200 million and kill a thrid of the world literally, or that in the Enlightenment, the great myriads of myriads of merely natural religionists and then purely worldly intellectuals killed the supernatural faith and charity of practically a third of mankind?
which is more important: that the ten divisions of barbarians surrounding pagan Rome brought the glorious kingdom to its ruin, or that in any stage of blasphemous material granduer, the great evil kingdom falls by its disregard of the ten COMMANDMENTS?Last edited by spauline; January 2nd 2012 at 01:15 PM.

Apocalypse 17:9-11:
Which is more important: that five Roman Emperors had died before St John saw the Apocalypse, that one then reigned as he wrote, and that two more coming; that seven or eight evil men will arise at the end of the world; or that five ages of sin necessarily precede the First Coming of Christ, that one age exists when the last apostle writes the last Revelation of God, and that two more ages of sin shall follow, then the end of the world?
Is it more important to know that six ages transpired for God to CREate the universe, and that He presumably sat back on the couch with brewsky and watched the game in the seventh age, or is it more important to know that God shall REcreate the world, that is, REmake or REDEEM it, in six great ages, that His grace will rest on earth for a great spiritual sabbath, and that in the eighth age, the World will be Resurrected to the New Eternal Creation as Christ was forever resurrected on the eight day?
Which is more important? That the world was made in six literal days, or that in each of the aforementioned eight great ages, the first part is a spiritual darkness, or evening, followed by a second part of spiritual light or morningLast edited by spauline; January 2nd 2012 at 06:30 PM.

Re: Which is more important in Apocalypse?
Which is more important? To know that what Jesus multiplied PHYSICALLY was five literal loaves and two fish, or that Christ instituted seven great physical rituals to feed us SPIRITUALLY, which are innumerably multiplied by every priest or bishop in the world, and that of these seven, when heretics break our communion, they have only two of them, losing the five that require the Episcopate and Tradition?
Which is more important: to know that literal fish come from the sea, a place of PHYSICAL chaos, or that the two forms of spiritual nourishment that heretics retain are appropriately caught by them in a SPIRITUAL ocean of DOCTRINAL chaos?
Which is more important? To know that literal loaves require barely, which requires the literal earth to be grown in, a level foundation for a house, or that five sacraments require a level foundation or ground of Tradition and Apostolic Succession, the foundation of the Spiritual House of the God, the Church?
That, for that matter, Jesus multiplied, on another occasion, seven LITERAL loaves and a "few fish", or that those in schism retain the level ground of Apostolic Succession and Tradition, and so have all seven sacraments, but that they are a little doctrinally confused because they lack the immovable SPIRITUAL Rock, PETER?Last edited by spauline; January 2nd 2012 at 07:09 PM.

I'm not saying I agree with it all, but at least I agree with some of it.

Re: Which is more important in Apocalypse?
Yes thank you. I self-published my first book a couple of years ago, and I'm working on another. If it takes as long as my first book it will only take about 40 years. I actually have some some rough drafts of a couple of chapters that were written in the late 70's or early 80's. I didn't learn about the horns thing until the last decade, and I made it into a message here at Theology Web a few years ago. I learned it from studying the Epistle of Barnabas. I have more recently found the same thing in the Shepherd of Hermas.
