Any streak sauteed with onions and mushrooms with grilled asparagus and a baked potato is delicious. Usually medium to medium-well when I had them.

Not only would it look funny, but a lot more work getting it ready for the grill.

At least it would be a little tenderised, I would think, Jed....heavy cricket shoes with spikes on them would do the job well!!!

Is that why almost not-cooked rare steak is called "blue"?

A blue steak , here, is one that is lightly seared for about 1 minute each on side. It needs to moo when being cut!!!!!

      Awful isn't it?

In my youth I ate raw meat, but I have given up that practice.

Yes. Matter of fact, I bought a cheap $7 hunk of roast the other day and sliced it into steaks (which I wrapped and put in the freezer).

      Which kind?
Anything that can be Blue-Rare and served with BBQ Sauce (and Blue-Cheese Butter if I feel like it). Bacon-wrapped is nice, too.

I have eaten Steak tartare, which is raw minced steak, raw egg, onion, capers, lemon juice, capsicums, worcestorshire sauce and a little mustard. I really liked it. I must say I have only had it twice.
