iTunes and regions.
So, I am new to using iTunes. I downloaded with the specific purpose of being able to purchase and watch episodes of Avatar: the Last Airbender.
SO I go through all their nonsense only to find I can only purchase the episodes if I live in America. And the morons wonder why Piracy is rife.
I have money people, I want to spend it on your product, let me spend it.
Apparently I can use the iTunes site if I have an American billing address.....should I use the White House or the NZ Embassy?"If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

I had the same issue with ebooks before I got a device that could run Kindle. I was happy to spend the money getting proper copies, but the only ones I could actually get pirated copies as the rest were region locked. Since I was able to use Kindle, I have happily been getting the legit copies.

In all seriousness, I wonder if I can talk someone into letting me use their address

Well I managed to get an American based account using an address supplied by HopShopGo.
The problem remains that I don't have a US c/card so I cannot purchase anything *sigh*"If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz

Re: iTunes and regions.
Sadly not, I did try that though. Paypal tells Apple that my card is a NZ card....or rather Apple submits to PayPal that this user needs to have a US billing method (i.e. US c/card or US bank account). and Paypal then tells me No Can Do.
The only option is to either buy vouchers on eBay, or to get a virtual US debit card (which has to have a min balance of US$51 before Apple would let me purchase anything).
Both of those violate the User Agreement though, and technically if I bypass region restrictions would make it an illegal download.
All pretty daft.
I don't actually blame Apple for this as I'm sure they would happily take my money if they were allowed to. It's the MPAA and the RIAA who are still stuck in 1985."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

Have you tried using iTunes cards instead?

Re: iTunes and regions.
If memory serves correct they are also regional. So I would have to purchase them off of someone in the states.
And technically, although I can do that, it isn't allowed. And I since then I've found out that getting then to play on an Android tablet will be a bigger mission.
At the end of day, regardless of the fact that I don't like Apple, it's not their fault (apart from the not supporting Android bit). It's the copyright holders. I'm sure Apple would be happy to take my money. But the copyright holders are still locked into a 1980's distribution mindset."If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

You can deposit funds from a bank account into paypal and then pay directly with the pay pal funds and not use a credit card.
