The shadowy form returns with the almost catatonic mook, who is endlessly screaming "T.L.F.! T.L.F.!!!"
and then resumes his nerdish-looking human form,
"Hmm, he was right."

Forgŕs rounds on Isambulus. "That was, like, TOTALLY UNNECESSARY! I already knew that information! Torturing bad guys is totally NOT OK!!"
I am more or less around.

"Hey Islambus. We're the good guys, the heroes. That is not what heroes are supposed to do!" snarls Viscid.
Micah 6:6. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High G-d? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? 7. Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8. He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your G-d.

"I trust Forgas, she's a member of my team. You're a stranger. And saying your preferred method is to break every bone in a person's body doesn't make you sound any better." frowns Viscid.

[Knowledge (Streetwise) and (Technology) Check results]
Seems like this upstart was trying to hook up with the Technian Liberation Front. They're a group of Technian Supremacists that believe they are the next optimal step in human evolution and want to try and overthrow their alleged 'Inferior and Squishier Oppressors.' Of course, their methods differ by the local factions (some prefer a more diplomatic route, while others take a 'no holds barred' approach). While attracting nothing but ire from the Aetherians, there are some Humans acquiring sympathy for these rebels and getting cybernetics with "TLF" engraved into them as a sign of support. Even more frightening is the underworld rumors that they've been able to find a way to turn willing Humans into Technians."If tonight is Cher night in TWeb chat, then I must have been wrong and there is a hell afterall"-XMansMommy in Paltalk on August 29th, 2008

Re: Game Thread: Bringing Down the House
"That's not what I said, nor what I meant, it was merely a comment on how society's values change. The standard approach to interrogation by my peers and the authorities back then was to break bones or worse, far worse, and they considered me a soft touch for never doing it to a prisoner myself. Back then I was disgracefully lenient, now I am disgracefully harsh, and yet my methods haven't changed in the slightest. As for the TLF," Isambulus passes on the above knowledge.

Captain Dashing holsters his blaster.
""In this world, there is right and there is wrong...And that distinction is not difficult to make. The powers we have...The things we do...They're meant to inspire ordinary citizens...Not intimidate them...Not terrify them."
He does not face the party, his shoulders slump even as he pours his soul.
"If we allow the hideousness of the corrupt to seep in....then no amount of justification can prevent the inevitable crumbling of our moral fiber, the compromise of our ideals, and eventually the all too common transformation of hero to tyrant, savior to destroyer".
The space warrior turns, a single tear rolling down his drawn features.
"Mr. Hannah, my creator, said that. He watched the ideals of human civilization crumble. He watched his studio get shut down because he refused to pander to the public's sick hunger for violence and depravity. He went to his grave believing that heroes should be held to a higher standard, an inspiration to all. A spark that keeps the fire of justice burning."
Captain Daring Dashing storms out of the building, saying simply, "I have a ship to find" as he kicks though the doors."Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." Only a small fraction of sinners repent and do good things but only a small fraction of good people are led by their religion to do bad things."

Captain Dashing looks for a nearby police officer who would know where his ship was taken.
