Re: February 2012 Screwballs
Wait a minute here.
So because Mark dates early (I personally favour a very early date for Mark...within 5-10 years of the Resurrection of Christ), that somehow validates Doherty's nuttiness?
To pull the quote from Ben Witherington from my sig: "...he [Doherty] is no historian and he is not even conversant with the historical discussions of the very matters he wants to pontificate on.""If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"
-Ravi Zacharias, The New Age: A foreign bird with a local walk
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13
"...he [Doherty] is no historian and he is not even conversant with the historical discussions of the very matters he wants to pontificate on."
-Ben Witherington III

A few other early fragments were found with it. A complete list:

Crab Battle
noun
Words uttered to incite an all in brawl. Whoever says the words 'Crab Battle' will usually be spear tackled to the ground by anyone else present, and all parties will then engage in a fight to the death.
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible to our fixed, restricted fields of vision. Existence taken for granted, absolute. Possessed, owned, controlled by the common sense-infected rational gaze, onward forever we walk among the ignorant. Never stray from the common lines.

Ironically enough, Jordan Maxwell made an argument like that once.

Anti-screwball (again) to The Lutheran Satire:
***Rest in peace, Curtmudgeon!***
"I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011
Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

CS Lewis, Mere ChristianityThere is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.

Anti-screwball to my little brother. From his Facebook:
Reading Richard Dawkins The God Delusion. He's basing his argument against God's existence on the 'fact' that God is too complex to have been created.
I agree completely, good thing God is infinite eh?"Everybody wants to go to heaven. They just don't want God to be there when they get there." Paul Washer

Anti-screwball to a friend of mine who used his amazon gift card to get "the impossible faith". JP - you have any provisions for autographs? (I might see about getting his copy signed for a birthday present or something)
Also, anti screwball to my preacher a couple of weeks ago (would hope to be able to link to his sermon) especially when he talked about misconceptions of Jesus such as "good-luck charm" (and many other 'pop' impressions of Him)."One develops a cool and ironic sense of bitter humor, as well as a bloated ego, and this personality characteristic is the defining trait of atheists ancient and modern. If there is a meek and humble atheist or sorcerer brimming with the milk of human kindness, I have yet to meet him." -John C Wright
"Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded- here and there, now and then- are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”"
— Robert A. Heinlein
"America's political system used to be about the pursuit of happiness. Now More and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered."
"The government cannot love you, and any politics that works on a different assumption is destined for no good."
"Government money only pays for the "liberties" the government thinks you should have, and therefore it can determine how you exercise them. That turns liberties into privileges dispensed at the whim of the state."
— Jonah Goldberg

YT dummy Hinduspy on my "Bats of a Feather" vid:
I told him to stop being so insulting....to those who actually are retarded. This is incredibly bigoted. Look how they portray the atheist vs the christian. I understand the gist of the video, but there really was no need to make the atheist look like he is mentally retarded.
