A Glory Seed Devotional
LOVE…

Just as there is god and there is GOD there is love and there is LOVE. It is out deepening intimacy whereby love becomes LOVE. The wonderful thing about LOVE is it is something that can be shared with others and it is out of intimate relationships whereby mentally and spiritually depleted lives can be replenished.

I suspect there are those who will read this will be struggling with intimacy at some level. Perhaps it will be the intimacy of marriage; or the intimacy of parents/children; or the intimacy of friendship; or the intimacy of a church family; or the intimacy of employer/employee; or the intimacy of self. When circumstances begin to burden relationships it begins to deplete energy at an alarming rate and love begins to replace LOVE and unless intimacy is restored the relationship will eventually cease to exist.

Intimacy is not only the basis of ALL relationships it is the power of LOVE in action. Intimacy and LOVE can create something where there was once nothing. Intimacy and LOVE can replenish and reenergize weakened or broken relationships.

Without an intimate relationship with God LOVE is only love. Intimacy and LOVE can only come first from intimacy and LOVE of God. But not LOVE in an intellectual sense but in a real life where-the-rubber-hits-the-road sense. The Apostle John mentors us in understanding the difference between love and LOVE. “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the LOVE of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:15-17 ESV, capitalization mine.)

Just there is no misunderstanding over God’s will Jesus tells us, “You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39 ESV, capitalization mine.)


Of all our greatest needs the need for intimacy shares the top of the list!

HOPE is Future’s gift to the present!
PEACE is God’s gift to the present!
FAITH is Jesus’ gift to the present!
LOVE is the Intimate Timeless Energy of God to the present!

The GRACE of GOD is perfectly expressed in the life of JESUS!
And PEACE with GOD comes out of our relationship with JESUS!
