I have noticed that in several CAPCOM games the bad guys seem to always be pushing evolution. I don't know if maybe the people who run CAPCOM dislike it or they just think it makes an interesting story.
So far the games that I have noticed that have specifically had bad guys pushing evolution are Resident Evil 5 (Wesker claims that evolution is needed for humanity to survive) ,MegaMan ZX Advent (again a similar claim by the bad guy),and MegaMan X8. Only one that does mention evolution that I know of (there may be CAPCOM games that I haven't played that mention it too) that isn't a bad guy doing so is MegaMan Legends 2.
I seem to remember another CAPCOM game mentioning evolution ,and the bad guy being the one trying to use it to justify their actions ,but I can't remember which one it was (I could be wrong though).
Has anyone else noticed this?
