This is like 2 months later but here's my advice....pick up kitty, put him in your lap...THEN use the computer. If he's an orange tabby like mine and the worlds most docile creature (mine only sort of nips when annoyed at my daughter and I've only seen him draw blood with my parents dog after 2 weeks of constant harrassment) he'll just jump in your lap determined for attention while you happily (or weighted down by 12 lbs of cat....) play on the computer.
