Screwball to this pack of fascists who want to ban the works of Dante:

"Weinberg's statement is true as far as it goes, but it is not the whole truth. To make it the whole truth, we must add an additional clause: 'And for bad people to do good things—that [also] takes religion.' The main point of Christianity is that it is a religion for sinners. Jesus made that very clear. When the Pharisees asked his disciples, "Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?" he said, "I come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance." Only a small fraction of sinners repent and do good things but only a small fraction of good people are led by their religion to do bad things."

      -Freeman Dyson, Theoretical Physicist

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

I say neither... Books are too valuable to be burnt (used as rolling papers, maybe, but not merely incinerated), and burning Fascists always leaves an unpleasant odor that takes too long to dispose of for my liking.

the same creeps who scream "freedom of speech" but also bay for their governments to "ban religion".

Oh, and a screwball to Bioware for the horrible ending(s) to Mass Effect 3.

It was an awesome game right up until the last ten minutes or so.

I haven't beat the game yet (so far so good it seems... but then again I'm not far in), but I have to admit I'm a tad annoyed that I had to re-make my Shepherd's face after I imported my ME2 save.

      Email:

Your rebuttal to Sam Harris' Letters to a Christian Nation did not help
me at all... In fact I was disgusted by your tone. You have turned me
further from the Lord I once thought to be true...
Just as a note, my response to Harris, like nearly all of Tekton, is devoid of riposte at this time.

Apostates: Jettisoning reason and fact for emotion and imagined offense since the year 1.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.
