Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Re: March 2012 Screwballs
Apparently "Simpleton" didn't know that atheist regimes have killed more people in that last century ,than all other wars in history combined. I have decided to stop responding to him after posts like this one.
What? In the last 100 years? Where the hell are you getting these figures? • Edited by a Moderator • You need to stop believing people tell you on their word and actually do a bit of research. I think you might be embarrassing some of the other Christians on this page with your nonsense.
Here we go… another person who likes to put words in my mouth. I never said you are stupid for believing in nonsense. Believing in the religion of your parents doesn’t mean you are stupid.
I also said that our CURRENT understanding of the universe is still very minimal, does that mean I am calling all current Homo sapiens stupid?
…because calling something a miracle received through prayer is usually nonsense. Although things occur that we may not understand, it does not mean it is a miracle. Often people claim these miracles while under the care of doctors and then praise God. This is a failure. At times a doctor might not be able to explain what happened but it is most likely part of their care. Also, the brain is an incredible thing, have you heard of the placebo effect? That’s just an example of the power of the brain.
Yeah he claims that everything a Christian believes is stupid and nonsense ,but somehow the Christian isn't stupid? He apparently thinks that all Christians just believe what their parents told them to believe. Also the miracle I received which he handwaved away was done by God when I was NOT under the care of any doctor. My previous doctor had been too arrogant to admit that he made me worse ,and I was desperately searching for some kind of treatment for the pain. If I hadn't been cured then I would most likely be dead. It may have been temporary ,but I believe that that was all to keep me from dying rather than to remove my suffering.

Re: March 2012 Screwballs
Screwball to Ehrman for the various stupid statements he makes in his 30-min opening in the following debate/discussion between him and Wallace. For example he begins talking (at around the 16:00 mark or so) about the possibility of Paul dictating his letters (2 Corinthians specifically) to a scribe, which is all well and good. Then he makes the argument that because it was common for scribes to make errors in the text while it was being dictated to them for various reasons, that this likely happened in the case of 2 Corinthians too, which I have no problem with either, because Paul would presumably have reviewed and corrected the letter, if there were any errors, before sending it to it's recipients. And here Ehrman betrays his fundamentalist mindset: Because we now (as he assumes) have two different "versions" of 2 Corinthians, namely, the uncorrected version, and the version that Paul reviewed and corrected, it suddenly casts doubt upon which "version" is the more correct, or original text.
