Evolutionary science: might have, could have, may have, believed to have, assumed to have, probably have, expected to have.

Re: We are descended from an ancient worm
More evolutionary science: A sterile puddle of goop in a sterile environment came alive and turned into everything which turned to everything else by means of a mechanism which invented itself in a universe which invented itself and operates by laws which invented themselves.
Unless you're a TE in which case Goddidit.

Re: We are descended from an ancient worm
All conclusions in science are tenuous because it is understood that we'll never have all the data. It is always conceivable that something could be discovered that could theoretically upset the entire apple cart. If you want proof then you you need to turn to math -- or booze.

Re: We are descended from an ancient worm
All this worm business is LIES! We are all directly descended from FISH! Serious evolutionists know this from studying tomes such as "The Little Mermaid" and "The Water Babies".
Besides, my greatgrandaddy was a goldfish called Bob!

BTW if I have an argument with my girlfriend I'll remind her she's just an eating/pooping tube with extra bits added on. I daresay we'll make up in no time.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

Re: We are descended from an ancient worm
The meteorites came from the Kulper belt and possibly the ort cloud in and around our solar system.
The natural environment? We let's cut to the chase based on the evidence at hand. Our universe, and all possible universes formed from an infinite and eternal zero-state quantum field. At present we have absolutely no evidence of any other source or cause of anything outside our physical existence.
By my belief it was created by the 'Source' some call god(s), but that is another story . . .Last edited by shunyadragon; March 7th 2012 at 09:30 PM.

"Beats me" is an entirely acceptable answer if you really don't know.
