Windows had introduced a productivity feature whereby the application windows would be maximized to fill the height of the screen. This great productivity feature kept interfering with my attempt to get work done. When I wanted to slide a window out of the way, it would expand to the fill half the screen. So I would now have to shift the mouse over to the top, so i could try to resize it again. The simple task of moving an application window now became the process of overcoming the time-saving features of windows.

I finally found out that this can be joyfully disabled by use of the Multitasking settings in the control panel. I basically turned off all the Snap features which were snapping the window frames to a bigger size such that users wouldn't have so much trouble arranging their applications.

Has this feature gotten in your way? Or are there other time-saving options that have prevented you from using windows effectively?
