Hi there, TWebers.
As you know, we're continuing to go through financial problems here at TWeb. As such, I'm to announce a slightly change in how advertising works here on TWeb. We will now be using Amazon Associate in addition to our regular Project Wonderful advertising.
What is Amazon Associates?
Amazon Associates is a tool that allows us to make a percentage on amazon sales we refer - with no additional cost to the purchaser. Buying anything after having clicked on any TWeb referral link (Even if the link is not to the product/s you buy) will give us a certain percentage (which increases as we get more referrals.) To get to the amazon home page with the Tweb refferal link, click here.
Where will this be advertised?
The amazon advertisements will be in the same place as the current Project Wonderful advertisements - only one will be displayed on any given page. The adverts will advertise specific products (although, as mentioned, clicking on any amazon link from TWeb will set us as your referrals) - check them out if you want.
Can I use this for just general purchasing on amazon?
Yes. Please - if you're going to purchase any amazon item - get to the amazon home page by clicking here. This will enable us to get the referral income from your purchase (at no cost to you) and help TWeb keep running.
Any other questions are welcome, the new advertisements will be up later today.

Cool! I use amazon a lot whenever buying stuff, so I'll remember to go through Tweb first to help it out!

somewhat related to this, I was just thinking the other day about how cool it would be to see a link to tweb on amazon. Whereas, if someone was doing a search for anything theology related, links appropriate to the topic would 'pop up' somewhere on the side. I pretty much go on amazon every day.

Hello!
We had a great April with TWeber's greatly helping through the use of our Amazon link (I'll ask if I can post the numbers) - please continue to use us when you buy things on Amazon. Sales dropped off towards the end of the month, but I think that's more a "Getting to the end of my paycheque" thing
Thanks a lot to all of you for your assistance!

I'm trying to get through a few of the books I already have before buying more. I'll order through the Tweb link when I do.
You could put a link in your .sig block, Chrs.

I have a couple of books I plan on ordering myself...for those of you in Texas, Amazon will start charging TX State sales tax starting in July! So, save while you still can on that. I plan on ordering several books this month and next to save the additional 6.25% while I can.

Cool, okay.
In the month of April, $1,251.12 worth of amazon items was purchased via our referral link leading to $80.66 being made for the upkeep of TheologyWeb - which is fantastic. All of that money will go towards maintaining TheologyWeb and making sure we stay on the web.
So, again, for any purchases you make on amazon.com - please use our link. It is incredibly helpful.
Thanks to anyone who did purchase using it before!
