Not comparable. Wanna try again?
I'm gonna rearrange your order here a bit so I can deal with a few at once.Moot. He desires the opposite of salvation. He cannot damn souls, but he can persuade people to damn themselves.Nor can he save souls.
He can twist the truth, or mix in enough of the truth to make a lie believable.Nor can he promote the truth.
He can promote/persuade to believe in/advocate for another Christ, as Paul warns us about (2 Cor 11:14).Nor can he promote the cause of Christ. Nor can he persuade to believe in Christ. Nor can he advocate to follow Christ.
That's kind of obvious, given 'satan' means 'adversary.'Nor can he be friends with God.

If it's all to promote a lie, than even when satan speaks a truth, he actually has a lie in his heart, and he is lying. satan is called the father of lies for a reason, OBP. It's because he does not promote the truth, and there is a lie in his heart that he is promoting. Even if satan were to read me the bible himself, he would be lying. "Father of lies, he is."
Anyway, that's the way I see it and how I've been taught.Last edited by OtherCheek; April 21st 2012 at 10:09 PM.

The TRUE part is still TRUE --- Truth does not change based on the teller.
Because he takes Truth and twists and misuses it.satan is called the father of lies for a reason, OBP.
No, the Bible is True no matter who reads it.It's because he does not promote the truth, and there is a lie in his heart that he is promoting. Even if satan were to read me the bible himself, he would be lying. "Father of lies, he is."

Yes, you could tell by the pained expression on Harry's face and his ... um... body language.

But I thought you were going to mention the one (early Kirk) where Nomad was going to sterilize imperfection ... and Kirk convinced it that it made an error by thinking he was the Creator.... error, error, must destroy error...

No, but in 1967, with Bill Thiess designs, did it really matter? I doubt voluptous would fit in Bill Theiss.
Have to admit,I, Mudd was the first thing I tought of. I forgot about Nomad. Although, (Warning:pedantic:Warning:) Harry wasn't the villain as such. Just a fool, but he was one of my favorite thorn's in Kirk's side. (Tribbles rule, though!!!!!!)
Now back to your regularly schedule thread...
