So, would y'all say that Park Romney must have really used his brain, came to his senses, and finally embraced the truth by leaving the LDS Church?
"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

I just read the article again, OC, since you asked. Didn't want to speak without as much fact as the article presents. Here's a quote....
How do you respond to that, OC? Conspiracy theory? Lies? Manufactured doubt?
It sounds like the same thing I've been saying ... that the Mormons are less then forthright in getting new members, then a lot of the members begin to see things are not exactly right --- like my friends who saw problems in which the Church was MANAGED --- not doctrines or teachings --- but, oddly enough, the very same thing that Park is alleging here. The Leadership was misrepresenting the history (in the case of my friends, the IMMEDIATE history) of the Mormon Church and making it sound "all spiritual", when, in fact, there was clearly documentable deception going on.
Small world, isn't it?

Only if those are you honest thoughts. I'm just curious as to what people think about a guy who leaves the LDS Church. Since so many here (not you necessarily) think that the LDS Church teaches its members NOT to think, I was wondering what it would mean for these folks when someone DOES leave the LDS faith.
Maybe you aren't the best one to answer the question. Perhaps Pixie, or Bill, or OBP."Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

Re: Park Romney denounces Mormon Church
I'll respond to the second post (bolding mine) rather than the first (IMO) rather snarky one. When I hear of someone leaving the LDS faith, my first response is to ask "Where are they going?" If they are leaving faith altogether, turning to an atheistic worldview, (subject of another thread), then of course I'm saddened by that and pray that someone will speak to them and point them back toward God. If they find their way to orthodoxy, then I rejoice that they have found the truth. I'm an infrequent poster on another forum that has a number of former LDS that have chosen to stay in faith, but those that have spoken of their current church seem to be mainly in non-denominational churches rather than mainline Protestant churches.
I daresay that this is one of those "ask three people get four answers" questions, but that's my answer.Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I believe that God put me on this Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind I will never die.

Considering that you pretty much tried to attack me for not being 'spiritual enough' when I asked you what sort of reason you could give for why to believe the book of Mormon... I think I'll let that speak for itself or do I need to quote your words, with links to what was previous said by me, before you'll accept it?
