Many fundies are, plus this one seems to have an obsession with trying to make Christians look bad over facts. Child molesters exist in about every field out there, doctors, lawyers, members of the military, pilots, etc have been caught molesting children, so why doesn't he go around and insult everybody in those fields?

Re: April 2012 Screwballs
I wonder what arbitrary moral value that would be based on.
I think such as he at least say that because it stings their egos for it to be suggested to them that things they say may not actually be worth hearing.
I may have a hard time living with that.No one can accuse me of being afraid of criticism or not caring about free speech. It is considered bad form on Youtube not to have a completely open comment policy. I understand your reasons for having your policy but you're always going to be accused of censorship unfortunately.
I wonder, if that's felt the same way though outside of FA circles, or if other circles (say, musicians -- random group selected) and their YT community feel any differently. There are so many types there that I can't imagine that sentiment being universal.
Added: Got me curious so I'll check.Last edited by jpholding; April 20th 2012 at 04:48 PM.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

Well, I found three places offhand:
http://www.youtube.com/user/aerospacenews?feature=watch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOTbAbKoL28
http://www.youtube.com/user/MassGovernor?feature=watch
These people do some serious business, so it's easy to see why they don't want to deal with idiots dropping and leaving f-bombs and such to be cleaned up later -- same as I don't care to deal with it. I wonder if Mr. PurportedlyIntelligentAtheist would go whining about that.

Quite so. Actually I should mention that even I make an exception when it comes to some Holocaust memorial videos I have on my channel. Those videos are set to approval only because I don't want to allow Holocaust deniers and other antisemitic low lives to comment on there. It would be upsetting to some of the people who might be viewing.

In mildly related news, Robert Price is still awed by any ridiculous theory that can be concocted about Christianity.
I think the line between H.P Lovecraft fan fiction and biblical criticism is beginning to blur. The Real Messiah presents the idea that Jesus did not consider himself the Jewish Messiah, or sacred king, but instead predicted the imminent unveiling of someone else as Messiah.CS Lewis, Mere ChristianityThere is no need to be worried by facetious people who try to make the Christian hope of 'Heaven' ridiculous by saying they do not want 'to spend eternity playing harps'. The answer to such people is that if they cannot understand books written for grown-ups, they should not talk about them.
Check out the blog: Per theologyWeb's overlords, I am required to warn you of profanity in some of the comment threads on my blog.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
The Words of Húrin and Morgoth, "The Children of Húrin" by J.R.R. Tolkien

JP "I'm a psychotic stalker in desperate need of professional mental help" Till vomits in the comments section of the Youtube video about Richard Carrier vs. Holding:
Watch Holding when it's not his turn to speak. It may seem he is "uncomfortable in his own skin", that when unable to hide behind a computer, he is taunted by the notion that some in the audience will identify him as a fraud---but DON'T BE FOOLED! Beneath that flabby exterior lies an enormous lack of character!

Upon Colson's death, R.I.P., screwball to anyone anywhere who focuses on Watergate instead of works like Prison Fellowship and Breakpoint.
