Male - ChristianGarage Band - MP3 - Podcast - EDIT help
OK, I'm new to Garage Band and Podcasts.
A client needed a meeting recorded, and I set them up with Garage Band, and it worked great.
I even figured out to save it as an MP3, and compress it, and all that good stuff.
It worked fine.
NOW, however, she recorded a SECOND meeting, and for reasons I don't understand, she started the recording about 30 minutes BEFORE the meeting started, so there's about 30 minutes of SILENCE at the beginning of the podcast.
There has GOT to be a way to "chop off" the first 30 minutes or so of the podcast, yes?
I needs hepp!

If you use something like Audacity you can edit the file (remove segments etc). It shows you the wave form as well so you can easily see where the silence ends

Yup. Runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux.
You will need to also install LAME to deal with MP3's here are instructions: http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/..._ins.html#lame"If you can ever make any major religion look absolutely ludicrous, chances are you haven't understood it"

You can cut and edit directly in garageband too. Just highlight the portion you want to cut and press 'delete'. Then 'grab' the remaining track by clicking and holding. Drag the rest of the track back to the beginning. All done.

Editing in GarageBand is simple, much easier than Audacity

My most recent faith struggle is not one of intellect. I don't really do that anymore. Sooner or later you just figure out there are some guys who don't believe in God and they can prove He doesn't exist, and some other guys who can prove He does exist, and the argument stopped being about God a long time ago and now it's about who is smarter, and honestly, I don't care. ~ Don Miller Blue Like Jazz
