Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
    Broken Plates / Mended Lives...
    Shalom!

“The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.” (Psalm 51:17, NLT)

Ruth Graham, Billy Graham’s beloved wife loved and decorated with imperfect restored objects. She was once given a imperfect but restored white and blue plate. July’s “Prayer Note” from the Cove quotes a conversation she had about her plate. “Few ever came out whole. They remained simply the collection of one who cared. When I expressed interest, he gave me a blue-and-white plate, carefully glued together—pieces missing. ‘You remind me of God’, I said. By the look on his face, I knew I had shocked him, and I hurriedly explained. ‘God pieces back broken lives lovingly. Sometimes a piece is irretrievably lost. But still He gathers what He can and restores us. Perhaps it gives pleasure to no one else, but to Him.’”

As I read about the plate I could see my face in it. And in my imagination I saw Jesus carefully looking over every piece of my life. Here a piece, there a piece, everywhere a piece, piece. Carefully picking up each piece turning it around, examining it placing it in its proper place. Slowly and methodically the once shattered place began to resemble the plate it once was. Except, the newly restored white and blue plate was filled with scars. Here a scar, there a scar, everywhere a scar, scar.

Then I could hear Jesus saying, “This plate has more beauty then it ever had. It is a Peace Plate. Here some Peace, There some Peace, Everywhere there’s Peace, Peace.”

“But Jesus,” I hear myself saying, ”There are pieces missing. Here a piece, there a piece, everywhere a piece missing, missing.” Then Jesus handed me the plate, “I know. Those missing pieces are your sins. You will not need them any more so because of my Love for you I tied them to my cross and tossed them into my empty tomb. Do not fret over what is gone, embrace what is new.”

What color broken/restored plate are you?

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”**
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
