A Glory Seed Devotional
You are chosen…

“The LORD says, ‘You are my witnesses and the servant I chose. I chose you so you would know and believe me, so you would understand that I am the true God. There was no God before me, and there will be no God after me.’” (Isaiah 43:10 NCV)

Has anyone ever told you you’d never amount to anything? I don’t mean with words (although words may have been used) I mean in how someone puts value on your life. Twenty-five (or so) years ago while in the midst of battling Myasthenia Gravis and all the negative baggage that come with battling a major disease one Sunday I was asked how I was doing. “I’m not doing so well right now,” I answered back. Without even looking at me turning toward someone else, “Glad to hear it,” was the crushing response. I was devastated, without saying it directly my friend told me my life didn’t amount to anything.

“I choose you so you would know and believe me…” Do I still feel that way? In all honesty, the answer is yes, there are brief episodes when things don’t go as I would have them go but the Holy Spirit reminds me that God has drawn my life to his so I can know and believe I am his greatest miracle and I am loved beyond my ability to fully comprehend.

While I still remember the crushing feeling, I felt that Sunday morning long ago it is not the pain of the experience the Holy Spirit holds in my heart but the realization of not only my ultimate worth but yours as well. We are you and I, God’s greatest miracles we are loved even though there are times when we are made to feel unloved. The powerful reminder of Isaiah 43:10 is ONLY GOD can love us completely and the bottom line is God’s Love is all we really need!

GOD LOVES YOU – THEREFORE GO AND LOVE!
