Re: Neutral Starting Point in Apologetics
This is an apologetic forum and we are dealing with an ongoing round of discussions, arguments and debates with regard to so many different aspects of thinking that it is virtually impossible to engage in such without things getting a little rowdy at times. What you think is just a statement brings with it all previous statements made by yourself (depending on how well you and the persons you are engaging have remembered them, or studied your posts) on this forum where others (such as myself) have either been passively reading or actively participating. Hence when you make statements like the one's you have both here and elsewhere both in the past and those you are continuing to do; you cannot expect folks to go easy on you, especially when you serve up the same 'hard and critical' stance towards those who are practicing what you consider to be a 'poor understanding of science' etc.
Fair enough, I exaggerated yet don't deny that you spend a considerable portion of your day so engaged. Crumbs Frank, you're everywhere!!!! I know because I'm there too.Not on the internet 24-7.
It is hard to begin with yet not a debate; it is a discussion between two like minded fellows but in the end it's clear who's more adept to that sort of thing.
I've still much that trouble me about your statements but I'm confident that if you apply a rigorous sort of stance the way that Prof. Anthony Flew did you'll figure out what you seem unwilling to accept from myself or others.
That beings said, I think you are a wonderfully informed person but that your Baha'i filter is screwing with that in more ways that you care to admit. No harm though, it's your life and as such I'm going to back off and let you get on with that.
Namaste,
Eric.
