And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

Universal Healthcare, because preventative care reduces overall healthcare costs and when people are kept in good condition, they are happier and better able to work. Also, being happier itself helps people to work better. Keeping more people happy and in good working condition is a recipe for increased productivity and, therefore, increased output.
Universal Education, well, this seems pretty obvious as to why it would help us remain dominant. We need a highly educated workforce to put our country in a position to maintain dominance in the future;

And thus increased unemployment. A much better solution would be to abort the chronically unemployed (with some exceptions). Drastically lowers health care costs (and other costs) at no loss to national productivity. Everyone else can just buy their own health insurance. And as a bonus, less global warming.
I would be for this actually, provided it is strictly limited to things that have a good chance to get you employment. So women's studies (entirely), sociology (for the most part, a handful of people with genuine talent in the field will suffice) and other useless crap like that should not be accessible for free.Universal Education, well, this seems pretty obvious as to why it would help us remain dominant. "Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

So certain people just don't deserve to be healthy? What else do certain people not deserve?
Which raises the question: who decides what's useful and what's not?I would be for this actually, provided it is strictly limited to things that have a good chance to get you employment. Nobody 'deserves' anything. The discussion was not about who deserves what anyway, it was about how to stay dominant as a country. You gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelet. You should know, since your party has decided tens of millions of people are to be stripped of their lives before they are even born so you can gain a marginal edge with evil selfish people in elections.

Who else murders for personal profit? Let alone innocent people and/or their own offspring?
If you were even remotely familiar with the ideology you pretend to speak for you would know that it is not our job to funnel people into heaven by any means necessary.Isn't that the anti-choice crowd who place anti-abortion (and anti-THE GAY) above all other forms of worship -- preventing fetal souls from their place in heaven,
With who? Those that are not aborted as a result of these efforts are unlikely to know about them and thus vote Republican.to gain a political edge?"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. Insurance companies, for starters. Did I ever tell you about how my friend died from cyctic fibrosis? A kidney transplant would've saved his life; a pity the insurers decided it wasn't cost-effective.
And I, for one, wouldn't expect you to do it by any means at all.If you were even remotely familiar with the ideology you pretend to speak for you would know that it is not our job to funnel people into heaven by any means necessary.
