Certified troll adrenacrumb, on my reading challenge:

It shows you aren't someone who cares to teach anyone anything, you just listed a bunch of books because it would make you look real smart so you must be right. I have read most of those books and a lot of them weren't even that valuable.
And she just now said this which proves she lied:

NT Wright relies too much on his preconceptions, more of a Raymond Brown fan myself. In what world does a Christian much less a decent human being accuse someone of lying with no evidence? Do you honestly think no atheist on the planet knows about these books and you must be the only person that knows about them?
Uhhh....Wright's book wasn't on the list....I just chose one of his covers for the vid background.

Due to rampant stupidity by Skeptics, and time issues, I'm only going to be on TWeb in my own (tektonics.org) section from now on. Deal with it.

My analysis of the clown's four excuses. Thank you for drawing that out of him, ukc. It really shows him up for the academic and intellectual fraud he is.

He actually reminds me of someone who used to be here named Johnny Skeptic -- arrogance and ignorance, both in such depths that it was almost "pure".

My pleasure. Like I said in my video, I had hoped he would take the challenge and prove he's not as big a clown as you have made him out to be. But now that he has proven he is an even bigger clown than we all thought I am enjoying watching him get whacked some more.

I have some idea which of the FAs MIGHT accept the challenge -- I won't name names, so as not to bias the outcome if they're watching -- but I was pretty sure he would not be one of them.

I did underestimate the creativity of the excuses he'd come up with, though!

Meanwhile, as I load the Luke-Acts authorship installment....adrenacrumb is changing the subject, and asks now if I would NOT recommend the books in the background image. I mean sheesh -- how much skilled rationalization are these guys going to do?

      Re: May 2012 Screwballs

My young friend Aaronk1994 mirrored a video by James White critiquing Dan Savage's remarks on what Leviticus says about homosexuality and slavery. The comments section on Aaron's mirror shows why Dr. White has comments switched comments off on his own channel:

      Greathiway:
"American Slavery is Biblical slavery. Slavery IS owning another person as PROPERTY! this is what the bible Says , Its NOT ever reserved just for the poor, Kings like Solomon had slaves!"
In response to someone who pointed out the difference:

Well your going have show me where it says Slavery was not the same Brutal and ruthless institution that american slave owners used to support their position. And Then you would have to in effect erase where It does say Slavery is own another person as PROPERTY if the have children you own them as well...Lev 25:45,46
      Greathiway on Leviticus generally:

Yes I cant recall when the last time I heard a christian cite Leviticus to support even the golden rule , Because On a whole its shamefully immoral book, and they know it.
Antichryst666 commenting on white's comment about people like Savage not going after Islam as much, when Muslims actually do still execute gays in some Islamic countries.

Destroys? Hardly. Deflects? Yes. Islam justifies Christian bigotry?? [censored]. The issue isn't the parts of Leviticus that ARE moral, duh, it's the parts that are immoral that Christians pick and choose from. This guy is an idiot, my 4 yr old could debate him. Here's a suggestion, if you don't like gays, then don't be one!! Your fairy tales don't mean a [if I quote that bit I'll be moderated for sure]. So u live by it, and be happy we let u do that.

Anti-Screwball to myself for finally deciding to get baptized \m/ After reading/listening to various things about how baptism is treated so lightly in modern western Christianity (including some comments in a Tekton article), I've decided to go for it

      Crazypills2's latest reaction:

      "Wrong answer" - ukchristian28
And what was my answer again? I suggest that you read my comments carefully because it appears that you and Holding aren't very good at reading. You might want to pay attention to detail, as failure to do such, makes you look foolish and very much like fundie Christians.

      "I think you've earned this"

I watched Holding's latest video. If I accept his latest challenge, will he produce a video stating he is an arrogant [censored] and apologize to all those he has insulted?

Now, Holding doesn't get to determine what 'scholarly' is. We shall define it as a book/dissertation/paper written by an individual who has at least one advanced degree in his/her area of expertise (preferably a PhD).

The areas would include Hebrew, Greek, Philosophy as it relates to religion, Religious Studies, and the like. I guess, under this definition, a book by Holding wouldn't qualify, but I'm willing to allow it if he does.

I personally commend you for this. If you have not done this yet, let me give you some assurance. I had baptism by immersion and yet the two following facts are true about me.

#1-I have a steel rod on my spine as I did at the time of my baptism limiting my ability to be bent.

#2-I am quite hydrophobic. My wife can tell you that it was quite miraculous when on our honeymoon she got me away from the edge of the pool and into water about 5 feet deep and to water waist high in the ocean. I don't even get my face wet in the shower. I never go underwater. I hate it all that much.

      Still I did it.

      Don't let anything stop you.

During this time and after, the Arab people advanced and formed great cultures, prosperous and peaceful civilizations. I don't believe Muhammad was an evil man, I don't believe he was an actual prophet of God either. But he was an instrument through which those people received light and knowledge to some degree. But something later happened that is a mystery to me, and now it seems that today satan has pretty much taken charge of that religion, and steered many of them to do evil by it. I don't know for sure that he even taught "child marriage". Either he changed in his later years, and started teaching evil instead of good, OR perhaps sometime after his death, evil men on their own accord for the sake of gaining power over people, taught evil and attributed it to Mohammed.

Just finished the last season of The Walking Dead. Anti-screwball to a certain little twerp who annoyed me for killing an even greater twerp who I hated most.

      "I hate Manwe's posts because I hate babies and America." --Augustine2004, August 6, 2011

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'

'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'
