As you have noticed (and we agree), this website is pretty awesome. Why you would choose to not be a member or logged in is baffling to both of us. The process is simple and costs you nothing, unless you really feel the urge to pay then we will not deny you that request. Back on point, once you become a member you will wonder why you put up with this notice all this time and ask yourself, "What was I thinking?" Being a tWebber is too awesome to pass up.
So stop playing ninja trying to act all stealth and lurking about (we see you), do you really want to be seen as a "lurker". Its like you are peeking in people's windows while they undress. How naughty of you. Does your mom know what you are doing right now? She agrees you should just register or login already. Good job.

Really, here is a question for you, who started it? It sure wasn't a 'grass roots' group, it was a group called 'Adbusters'. Do you even know what 'grass root' means Jimmy?
And here is a question for you, do you even know who AdBusters is. Do you even know the difference between grass roots and astroturf. Apparently not.

Yes Jimmy, I looked it up before I spoke (you know, unlike you). Grass root movements are usually movements that are formed by a community of people themselves. Not a group that spends their time developing protesting such as OWS. I guess you don't know how to use Google to look up definitions of words before you speak? I did and I found stuff like this:
AdBusters created OWS for the purpose of advertising it's beliefs and policies to the public and it was far from being organized at the local level or being spontaneous. Really Jimmy, do you even look up things before you speak or do you like looking like a total tool?

And the kicker is, when the media wants a "sound bite" response from a Tea Party or OWS event, they can get a great sound bite from nearly ANYBODY they approach at OWS -- you can ALWAYS count on them to say something wacky, or ... "well, I don't know exactly why we're here, but....." And just about ANYBODY at a Tea Party event can summarize pretty succinctly what they're all about.
Oh, and any cop cars you might find near TP events won't have poop on them, and the officers won't be clashing with the attendees.
But remember all the special, protective rape-free zone tents they put up at the Tea Party rallies because of all the sexual assaults taking place.
What? You don't remember them? Oh yeah. That's right. That took place at the occupy protests. My bad.

I'm a bit familiar with them. From another thread:

In contrast the Occupy movement was dreamed up by AdBusters, the "anti-consumerist" organization which started the Occupy Wall Street movement and is in part financed by the Tides Foundation which is in turn financed by the infamous billionaire hedge-fund manager George Soros. Soros has also given millions to MoveOn which has joined the occupiers in several demonstrations and marches.
Soros is in effect the grandfather of the occupy movement. Interestingly though while announcing his sympathy and support for the movement he helped start he also lobbied for even greater handouts to bankers in 2009.
Soros, who has been convicted of insider trading in France, pocketed $1 billion betting against the British pound on “Black Wednesday” in 1992, when it lost 20% of its value in less than 24 hours earning him the reputation of “the man who broke the Bank of England.” Talk about your vulture capitalists.
But let's get back to the group that dreamt up the Occupy movement, AdBusters.
Under the photograph it states that "the demonstrations were inspired by a blog post by Kalle Lasn, founder of Adbusters magazine."
The last sentence of the story is "And as the continuing scene in lower Manhattan attests, Lasn certainly knows how to launch a campaign."
So now that we've established that Adbusters pretty much started the whole thing (the sources above aren't exactly Fox News) let's take a quick look at them. Seems that after Osama bin Laden's death Adbusters ran a feature that castigated the left for not lining up and supporting him.
So Adbusters, who even those on the left say was behind the Occupy Wall Street protests, bemoans that the left didn't embrace bin Laden as a comrade in the struggle.
So the answer to your question is that Adbusters is the group that thinks we should be on the side of Osama bin Laden and who are behind the OWS movement.

Ever been part of a community organization or a company NP? Those who are given the authority to lease property in the name of the said event, company, organization, person, etc are often those put into leadership positions to start with.
Nevertheless, my question remains -- who (if anyone) gave this guy the authority?
That's why I think we need to follow the money.
Don't know nor care; I just found Jimmy's comment to be pretty dumb and thought to say something. Those given the authority to lease property under a groups name tend to be in some sort of position of leadership of the said group. Unless you think that is not a general rule...
I agree with you 100% -- which is why I want to know -- did anyone give this guy the authority, or did he claim it for himself?
I think following the money would provide a clear answer to that question.

It doesn't matter who Adbusters is, they didn't organize nor do they orchestrate the occupy movement. They merely provided the spark to a movement that was already in gear. Thats the difference between Occupy and The Tea Party. Occupy is grass roots, they're not bussed all over the country, fed and housed by multimillionaires like the Koch Bros who have co-opted them for their own secret agenda, which is to co-opt a political party. They're not orchestrated by political hacks like Dick Army or promoted by propagandists like Fox news and the rest of the corporate run echo chamber whose purpose is to undermine democracy. The Tea Party is not leading, they are being led, They're funded, organised and orchesrated from without, they are uninformed people for the most part, being led like children to their own demise.

Btw, the Koch brothers, unlike Adbusters were relatively late to the party (the Tea Party that is). The first time they were connected to the Tea Party was a couple months before the 2010 election whereas the first protests started in January of 2009.
If anyone or anything can be considered behind the Tea Party movement it would be folks from Ron Paul's failed 2008 campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. Paul is often refered to as the "intellectual godfather" of the movement.

My 16 year old granddaughter texted me that Ron Paul will WIN THE PRESIDENCY this year!!!!!
Seeing the bandit raise his bow, Caden winds up his chain and hastily swings it... only to almost lose his grip as the swing goes wide.

"Oops."
What is the basis for you believing in OEC? On what basis is the genealogy of the patriarchs, along with their ages, dismissed by OEC's? Thanks
God Bless
