      "Mormon AND Black? What the..."

OK, the title of this thread was meant to be a theatrical attention grabber. Nevertheless, I like this lady. Especially this part:

Love's presence in Congress would certainly shake up the House. The mother of three children in an interracial marriage and has strong views about race.

She says if she wins in November, she will also join the Congressional Black Caucus. "Yes, yes. I would join the Congressional Black Caucus and try to take that thing apart from the inside out."

"It's demagoguery," she says. "They sit there and ignite emotions and ignite racism when there isn't. They use their positions to instill fear. Hope and change is turned into fear and blame. Fear that everybody is going [to] lose everything and blaming Congress for everything instead of taking responsibility."

      Go Mia.
"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

      2 Tim 2:1-2

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

I do like that quote about hope and change being fear and blame. That pretty much nailed the "hopey changey" thing. But sadly, the US Congress may get shaken a little from time to time, nothing lasting ever really happens before the same old way of doing things reasserts itself and shrugs off anything new or positive.

BTW, I would like the next big GOP star to be Bobby Jindal of Louisiana.

Love the truth; follow it no matter where it leads; embrace it no matter how much it costs; accept no substitutes; and be satisfied with nothing less than the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Perfect Embodiment of the Truth; Love and follow Him!

"Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6)

Did my headline create a harmful mis-perception about your Faith, CP?

      Sorry if it did.

      I like Jindal too.

He needs to majorly improve on his performance from when he delivered the official Republican response to Obama's February 2009 speech to a joint session of Congress if he's ever going to go anywhere on the national stage.
