Any Fallout 3 fans here?
Cause I'm thinking of starting a blog 'journal.' Basically writing out blog posts as if it were my character keeping a journal of his journey through the Capital wastes.
Would anybody be interested in reading something like this? I'll probably be using some harsh language(since Fallout 3 proper doesnt shy away from it, I dont see why I should), so I'm going to ask people to PM me for the link once I get it set up.OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

I'd be all up on that. Fallout 3 is awesome.
Incidentally, I was going to write something similar for New Vegas.

Fallout 3 & NV > Oblivion
Sounds interesting anyways.

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
I thought about doing New Vegas, but I figured Fallout 3 would be easier since your character has a more defined background, and New Vegas assumes a greater level of knowledge about the Fallout universe. I may, depending on my experence with this journal do one for New Vegas, or maybe some other 'open world' game, Dragon Age Origins, or Oblivion, or maybe even Skyrim if I ever get my hands on it.
Anyway the blog is up, PM me if you want the link to follow it. Right now all I'v got is an introduction. It'll probably be a day or two before I get the actual journal started, because I want to finish another game I'm doing first, plus I wont start the Journal until after I reach Megaton.Last edited by Sir-Think-A-Lot; May 6th 2012 at 10:29 AM.

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
This sounds interesting. I was thinking of restarting a Skyrim character and doing exactly what you're talking about. There's another guy who did something like this for Oblivion and Skyrim characters. His character's were the kind where he'd try to roleplay as best he can realistically, and if he died in the game, that was it for the character, no matter when it happened or how. It's an interesting concept, and I'd like to do something like it myself.

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
My plan is to role play as realistically as possible as if it was me that was raised in the vault and then suddenly released. I'll probably focus less on what I am doing in the game, and more on how my character is feeling about the events and such transpiring around him. I wont write my characters death(unless I do so after the main game and all side-quests are done), but I did plan on doing 'no reloads except for death' rule. If I get locked out of a computer, kill a major character, blow up megaton...too bad I'm stuck with it. I was actually inspired to do this by someone who did it for Dragon Age Origins.
Depending on my experence with this, my own time constraints, and so on, I may later do one for New Vegas or some other game(not Skyrim, since I dont have that game).OBJECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
The more I think about it, the more excited I am for a Skyrim blog. I probably won't do a "no reload" thing if I die, but if I die, not sure. I'd probably do a "Game Day" per blog to make it easy to blog. End each time with some sleep, if possible, and start the next with him waking up. I'll have to do some thinking on my approach to it, what race I'd like to play, and everything. It's a neat idea though.
Also, thanks for the link. I will be reading this one for sure."The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can. Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
I think Fallout 3 had the best main quest, but New Vegas had better gameplay (especially if you set it to hardcore) and a more fleshed out world. It came closer to the experience of Fallout 1&2.
And it had this song.

And as if that wasn't enough, here's my sig!

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
I've been thinking about getting into this series, but for a while all I've heard was that Fallout 3 and NV were buggy and poor ports to PC, plus I'm not the biggest fan of FPS's, so I've been undecided. I know I have Fallout 1 and 2 on disc somewhere, but I doubt they are compatible on Windows 7, so I'd probably have to repurchase them anyway.

Re: Any Fallout 3 fans here?
I'm one of those who has only played Fallout 3, sadly. It's a great game, though. I plan on getting New Vegas sometime, and I may even try out 1 or 2 (Has anyone here played those?)
