...and they SEEM to be claiming that they started off with Smith and Cowdrey, but they DON'T seem to be the same "Mormons" that we have come to know and love on Tweb.
Are these guys an "offshoot" of Mormonism?
From their website:
"As Christianity was the official religion of Europe for over a thousand years, it makes perfect sense that the ideas of most Westerners regarding marriage descend from the Biblical creation myths. Mormonism itself evolved from 19th century American popular religion which was rooted in the Biblical traditions."
He is an advocate for same sex marriage, and skimming through this blog on that topic, I got pretty fed up and closed the site.

I also didn't notice any references to Jesus Christ in his role as Savior on any of his other blogs. So, I would definitely not include him and his following as "Mormon".
No, CP. Definitely not the same that you know and love. I suspect their main issue for breaking off has to do with same-sex marriage. I'm not surprised, really. But I don't know for sure. He seems to deny a Savior, and that's enough for me to judge.

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."
