Pet Woit, author of "Not Even Wrong", and a harsh critic of Supersymmetry and String Theory, has a few interesting comments on this.

I watched video for the panel discussion twice, and found it rather interesting, despite not understanding some details. The discussion centered around whether the evidence they have gotten so far with the collider was evidence for the existence of the Higgs. I found several on the panel considered certainty of the present evidence to be somewhat dependent on whether the Standard Model and Supersymetry is an adequate model for the foundation nature of our physical existence. I think the general view was that if the Standard Model and Supersymetry was not the correct model it weakened the applicability of the current research results.

Most hedged their bets with the hopes of future research.

I do not know, therefore I think . . . and everything is in pencil.

I think Arkani-Hamed summarised neatly by saying, in regards to Susy, that we are in the half-hour to midnight. He didn't close the chapter entirely, but Susy theorists are quickly running out of arguments. This year might very well drive the last nail in the coffin. But Nima left one door open: the 125 GeV Higgs, were it to be found at that energy scale, could still leave room for the Susy theorists. But so far, it has been a grim year not only for Susy but all other BSM theories. As to the SM, it's still quite solid, with or without the Higgs. But I'm betting that the Higgs will be found.
