And the government taking over would stop the "best route to that goal" tell that to Charlie Gard's parents who have to live under the single payer system. They are loading there son because the government would not Lt them take their son to America on their own dime they fought against it. I wonder what would have happened if the British government had of just let the parents do what they thought best. Some thing we will never know because the British government took that right away from them. No thank you I don't trust the government to know better then I do what I And my families healthcare needs are. Britain will go down hear as the entity that killed a 10
month old baby with its policy of nanny government knows better then a child's own parents.

Your're an idiot. That case has nothing to do with insurance or affodability, it had to do with the best interests of the patient, a fight between the doctors and the parents which was decided by the courts. Now you can disagree with the courts decision if you will, but that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, which is affordable healthcare. Lucky for them they had single payer system and could afford the care that they got for their son in England. They had the money to go and get treatment in the U.S., so it had nothing to do with their insurance.
