Diablo 3 is here . . .
Got my Classic Diablo 3 today. Really cool with a complete Diablo 2 with LOD included on a custom usb drive, art book of Diablo 3, a development DVD and a bunch more.
I'm hoping there are some Diablo 3 enthusiasts here on TWeb and that we can do some gaming in Diablo 3 together.
PM me if anyone is interested.

Torchlight 2 looks fun, is 1/3 the price, doesn't have DRM issues, has music by Matt Uelmen, allows for more players, can be played offline, online, and lan, comes with a modding toolkit that makes it easier to create, share, and install mods, and comes with Torchlight 1 for free with the preorder.

"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

I figured I'd try the second one before I decided to buy the third one (got the Diablo II Battle Chest for $25). My roommate and I have been having a blast playing it (he actually forgot how awesome it was since it's been so long).
Still not sure about the third game though... I've heard it's good, but I heard the customization was ridiculously reduced (which is one of the reasons why I like the second one)."If tonight is Cher night in TWeb chat, then I must have been wrong and there is a hell afterall"-XMansMommy in Paltalk on August 29th, 2008

From what I've heard, you automatically gain abilities as you level, so the main difference between two people at max level is gear. The AH for real money isn't open yet, but between the people who are looking to earn their $60 back, the Chinese farmers, and the people just selling what they run across, it's not going to cost much to gear up, except possible for gear on the hardest difficulty setting (which I hear is no walk in the park). It looks like they are also considering having a set fee per sale rather than a percentage cut, which could drive prices back up.
