"Tough Questions" with Dr. Greg Boyd

Why does God allow evil and suffering? How could a loving God send people to hell? How do I know if God even exists? From skeptic to believer, we all have tough questions we’d love to get answered. Wednesday, May 16, nationally-known author and speaker Greg Boyd will tackle your questions live from the stage. Greg is the author of Letters from a Skeptic, Repenting of Religion, Escaping the Matrix, The Problem of Evil, and more. Greg will answer ANY hot-potato questions about God, religion, or theology, straight from the audience.

If I have a mystical experience, an experience that's so overwhelming that I know now that there's a God, the cognitive fallout from that is irrelevant. The fact that that experience can be explained by psychologists in numerous ways is irrelevant to the fact that I now know.

Re: "Tough Questions" with Dr. Greg Boyd

From the perspective that God is responsible for the Creation god Creates. It is a difficult question to answer. There are many related 'questions?' that are equally difficult. Like many ancient cultures, those outside the fold are considered in some way 'evil,' heathen or pagan. This egocentric view of the rest of the world outside Christianity persists today bringing to serious question, 'What is the nature pf evil?' that would the subject of a related question. In traditional Christianity 'evil' is the nature of the world including nature itself in some cases outside Christianity, and in some cases outside the individual sect, or church within Christianity.

In terms of 'evil' being harmful, hurtful, and detrimental to human beings. Christianity itself has been a manifestation of evil at times in history.

I am so bummed that I can't be there tonight. But I'm so glad that my church has live streaming. :)
