Doubtful, IMO. It would probably lessen his chances for reelection, but Harry "Budget? We don't need no steenkin' budget." Reid could most likely keep enough "no" votes on impeachment charges to prevent him from being booted out early.

      Upon further review, perhaps not.

But here's my honest responisble opinion.
      1) If he was not a natural born citizen he's certainly paid a lot of money to cover it. Right a long with the acorn scandals and he's the slipperiest guy we've had in office ever.
      2) If he is a natural born citizen this is another far right poor attempt to get him out pre election and it doesn't make the conservatives look real good.
      3) We need as the conservative party to go after the tangible things that Obama has clearly done wrong, get our hands on the evidence and make absolute 100 percent that he cannot secure office for another 4 years, we do not need to touch this any further. What we need to do is ask the hard questions, prove the things he has done that are clearly illegal and get him away from the white house.
      Make sense?
Birtherism to Obama is the same thing that Trutherism was to Dubya. In an idiotically polarized society, there'll always be a boogeyman conspiracy theory about the other side.

That comparison isn't even valid, especially with the OP of this VERY THREAD. The "birther" thing has FAR more validity, and evidence than the "truther" thing.

9/11 truthers usually don't outright believe that the towers were taken down with explosives as an inside job. They just argue that point, and claim that they merely believe that there's something fishy about 9/11 if you ask them. Its not different with the Birther movement, only that this is an exclusively Republican phenomenon while the 9/11 Truthers span the entire political spectrum. After the birth certificate was finally revealed there's only the hardcore deniers left, who won't ever change. They join the ranks of deniers along with those denying holocausts (armenian or jewish) or the moonlanding.

I don't like Obama. Doesn't matter WHERE he was born.

The one truther I talked to online was certainly believing to to be an inside job with explosives. I know it was just one guy, and he was by no means representative of the whole movement, but he was still quite dedicated to "exposing" what "really happened".

Yeah, I saw a whole video on that earlier on, but I think as it became obvious how ludicrous that was, they backed off to other issues. The BEST proof that there was a conspiracy, of course, is that there is absolutely no proof.

Scruples? I ain't got no scruples. I don't need no scruples. I don't have to have any stinkin' scruples. (with apologies to "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre")

Btw, it isn't uncommon for someone to say they liked a post and not Amen it. Don't be too hard on OC for it.
