EGGzackly! Smith's one-time friends got hacked when he proposed to their wives, or cheated them out of their money through the Kirtland Bank scandal, or came up with the phony polygamy scheme.... always something with that guy! He had to be Mayor, Lt. General of the Militia, Publisher, Hotel and Bar operator, Banker, Grand PooBah of the Masonic Temple..... and then we have Jesus, "in whom no fault was found" even by his judge!

I PERSONALLY don't believe you'll find ANY of Christ's friends AT THE TIME who "turned on Him", with the notable exception of Judas, and we know how THAT turned out.

It is yet another case of "real prophet envy".
